With all the reviews and makeup products out there it can be really confusing when trying to find the products that work the best. I know that when I walk into Sephora it can be really overwhelming when beauty products promise to thicken, volumize, smooth, etc. and don’t hold up to any of the promises that they claim on the label This can be super frustrating, and trust me I have tried my fair share of makeup products that do not do what they say. I know that everyones preferences are different but here are 8 of my absolute favorite makeup go-to’s that I use just about every day.
This Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is deffinitly my go-to foundation for every-day use. Although the price is a bit high, it is definitely worth it and will last you a long time. I know there are many different preferences when it comes to foundation and how much to wear it. Personaly I don’t wear foundation a lot because I like to let my skin breath, but if I do I always wear this one. It is Medium coverage but still light enough that you can’t even tell that you are wearing it. The pump makes application easy and I usually smooth it in with my beauty blender.

The hot eyeshadow palettes at the moment are Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes. You’ve probably watched some Youtuber use them and rave or even gone into Sephora and pined over their beauty but cringed when you heard their price. I love the nude colors that come in the Original Naked palate and wanted to find something that had similar colors but at a much better price point. LOVE IT! It may not have as many colors as the Naked palates do but it has a wide range of shades that are perfect for any occasion. The colors go on smooth and last most of the day. I usually use the lighter shades for daytime and the darker ones for a more smokey-eye look.

In my personal opinion mascara is the most important makeup item in my bag. Somehow I feel like you could have a face full of makeup, but without it it doesn’t look finished. When I go out of the house without mascara I feel naked and I usually throw some on even if I am just running to the store and not wearing anything else on my face. I have tried soooo many mascaras and always gone back to this one. I was blessed with naturally curly eyelashes, but I love the way that it volumizes without clumping, and lengthens and gives a bit of extra lift at the same time. My friends all the time ask what mascara I use and I always tell them this one.

I don’t always wear lipstick, but if I do I like a subtle, but a still-there color. This Lipstick by Mac is just that. It isn’t too flashy or bright, but it still gives some much-needed color to my lips when I just want to throw on something that goes with everything. It has a smooth texture and a semi-gloss finish.

I always like to wear a bit of blush to brighten up my cheeks, especially if I am wearing foundation which can make you look all one color. This blush my Tarte is one of my go-to makeup products that I always have with me. I have the mini size which is great for carrying around in your purse. The color is a nude rose and I absolutely love it. It warms your cheeks without making you look like a clown as I’ve experienced with some other blushes I have tried.

Defining your eyebrows can pull your whole makeup look together. This Gimme Brow Gel by Benefit is so easy to use. You just brush it onto your brows and it makes them look defined and gives them just enough color to make them still appear natural but polished. It really adds a lot to your makeup look and is always in my makeup bag.
